Join us in our Stockport Mill Studio for a 2.5 hour taster workshop on machine knitting.

 

Whether you're just starting out or seeking to brush up on your skills, our beginner taster class offers a comprehensive introduction to machine knitting. No prior knowledge of knitwear or knitting machinery is necessary.

 

During the workshop you'll develop a solid foundation in machine knitting basics, understanding how the machine operates and its capabilities. With plenty of time for hands-on practice and experimentation, you'll create a variety of samples, each documented for your you to take home.

 

By the end of the workshop, you'll depart with a small portfolio showcasing the techniques you have learnt and a fundamental understanding of domestic flatbed machines and yarn types.

This taster course was just what I was after!

I've always been curious about machine knitting but didn't want to fully commit to buying a machine or going to a longer class without having a taster first. This taster course was just what I was after! The small group size meant that we had lots of hands on and personalised help and I will definitely be looking to get my own machine now!

My second piece from Sandwith Studio and i am BESOTTED! The colour balance of pink and green is SUCHHHHH a mood and so beautiful!

So cute and pleasing on the eye and so well made and such high quality. Keeping an eye out like a hawk for restocks on the designs bc they are my baseline for knitwear now!
